🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs its universe by relying on the aesthetics of kabuki and Japanese folklore, where the demonic and human are intertwined in a bizarre dance. It explores the theatricality of fate and the weight of destiny through stylized visuals.

What lingers after the viewing is the operatic tragedy of love and duty, framed by sword clashes that feel like choreographed poetry and a color palette drawn from ancient prints. — MovieFinder Editorial
