🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs its comedy from the stark contrast between a clumsy, kind-hearted policeman and the cynical Parisian underworld. It relies on the charm of its characters and the warm, almost paternal humor of their unlikely alliance.

Those who tire of cynical plots will find a gentle, sun-drenched tale where simple humanity proves stronger than rules or prejudices. What lingers after is the feeling of uncomplicated, sincere goodness. — MovieFinder Editorial
