🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs a simple yet touching parable of loyalty, contrasting the brutality of war with the intimate drama of an ordinary man. It relies on the archetypal western hero, placing him within the unfamiliar, grim context of a global conflict.

What lingers after the final reel is a quiet reflection on friendship as a form of resistance. The bond between man and animal emerges as a pure, unwavering constant in a fractured world. — MovieFinder Editorial
