Life Upside Down
A Paris real estate developer feels compelled to withdraw from his seemingly perfect life into a world of his own. Is the man going insane? By conventional standards, maybe, but it's clear that the life he's fleeing is madder still from his point of view, and since that point of view is unfailingly witty and astute, we even come to accept his delusions as more "real" than reality.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take
Director Alain Jessua constructs a quiet rebellion, exploring the paradox of sanity through the deliberate unraveling of a perfect life. The film relies on a precise, observational style, building its argument not with dialogue, but through the protagonist's piercing, silent gaze at the world's absurd rituals.
What lingers after the final frame is a profound unease with the agreed-upon definitions of reality and a strange envy for the freedom found in surrender. — MovieFinder Editorial
