🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs its comedy from the gap between the protagonist's romantic fantasies and the pragmatic world of the all-boys drama club. It relies on the classic trope of mistaken identity to explore themes of authenticity and passion, building a narrative that is as much about performance on stage as it is off.

What lingers after the curtain call is a genuine affection for its characters and their earnest, clumsy pursuit of art. It's a charming reminder of theater's power to reveal our true selves. — MovieFinder Editorial
