The film constructs its comedy from the clash between a meek apothecary and the mythic American West. Director Miguel M. Delgado relies on the boundless charm of Mario Moreno 'Cantinflas,' whose unique physical comedy and bewildered innocence drive the narrative forward.
Those who tire of gritty westerns will find a farcical adventure where every peril is undercut by laughter. What lingers after the credits is the warmth of its simple moral: kindness disarms even the toughest frontier. — MovieFinder Editorial
