🎬 MovieFinder's Take
This 1961 Greek comedy deftly blends farce with a philosophical edge, using its fantastical premise to explore timeless themes: the folly of desire, the value of experience, and the nature of true generosity. The film manages its satire with a light touch, offering an ironic yet affectionate look at human vanity.
What lingers after the final scene is not just the humor, but a gentle wisdom about the illusions we chase. The film suggests that the most transformative pacts are those we make with our own hearts. — MovieFinder Editorial
