Macau, 1999, days before the handover to China. Police officer Shing, mired in corruption and drink, encounters a teenage girl who claims to be his daughter from a long-forgotten fling. Their awkward cohabitation in a dilapidated flat slowly evolves into a fragile bond, just as Shing's past and the ghosts of his reckless choices begin to close in on them both.
