🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs its drama by contrasting bourgeois certainty with civilian suffering, using the war as a crucible for human bonds. It explores how ideologies fracture even intimate relationships, leaving characters in a moral void.

What lingers after viewing is a nuanced portrait of an era where personal tragedies intertwine with historical cataclysm, refusing simplistic closure. — MovieFinder Editorial
