The Last Family

Zdzisław Beksiński paints his dystopian visions to the strains of classical music in his Warsaw apartment. His universe revolves around his family: his steadfast wife Zofia, who strives to maintain domestic calm, and his son Tomasz, a gifted but tormented radio presenter grappling with profound inner turmoil. The film traces decades of their life together, where the father's rising artistic fame exists alongside the daily struggle for his son's mental stability. Through mundane conversations, shared meals, and anxious phone calls, a portrait emerges of an extraordinary family bound by deep love, persistent fear, and a quiet, mutual incomprehension.
