Janjan

Jana, a young woman from the countryside, arrives in Seoul to work in a garment factory. Her days are consumed by the monotonous rhythm of a sewing machine in a cramped workshop, her nights by sparse rest in a dormitory for female laborers. She becomes a cog in the invisible machinery of fast fashion, where human life is measured by stitch-per-minute. Her initial hope for a better future gradually dissolves into exhaustion, while her ties to home and family grow increasingly faint. The film meticulously examines the human cost of an economic miracle, hidden behind cheap price tags.
