Champion Hungarian gymnast Miklos, broken by a brutal Communist-era coach, seeks a fresh start in Canada. He lands a job at a local school, determined to become a different kind of mentor—patient and supportive. Yet the trauma of his past shadows him into the new gym. Under the weight of ambition and the ghosts of his own youth, his methods slowly begin to mirror the very cycle of abuse he once fled. His pupils become hostages to their coach's unspoken pain, caught in a repetition he cannot seem to escape.
