🎬 MovieFinder's Take

Director Piotr Chładas constructs the film on the stark contrast between a sun-drenched forest idyll and the oppressive reality of occupation. He explores the fragility of normalcy, relying on the natural performances of non-professional actors and a minimalist visual style.

What lingers after viewing is a slow-burning sense of dread, where a minor incident accrues devastating weight. The film leaves one with a haunting quietude and a meditation on the cost of simple joys in a collapsing world. — MovieFinder Editorial
