🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The director constructs a narrative on stark contrasts: palace opulence versus underground hideouts, love versus ideology. It explores personal transformation forged in revolution, where roles of victim and avenger, master and servant, are violently overturned.
What lingers after the final reel is a potent mix of romantic sacrifice and political fury, a silent-era testament to love's power to cross any divide. — MovieFinder Editorial
