🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs a brief, tense drama, relying on historical narrative and the power of visual trickery. It explores the very boundaries of cinematic illusion by substituting the actress with a dummy at the pivotal moment.

What lingers after viewing is the raw magic of early cinema, where reality and fabrication first merged on screen. It’s a foundational moment in film technique. — MovieFinder Editorial
