Jonathan Demme Presents Made In Texas

2015 · 116 min

Made In Texas: six films culled by Jonathan Demme on a visit to the Lone star State prove not only that independent features are alive and living on the Third Coast but they can outrun those by New York and Los Angeles indies. D. Boone's Invasion of the Aluminum People, a 45 minute super-8 extravaganza (possibly processed in a washing machine) is a video/film/music/jumpcut glaze by this tyro Godard who seems to be sired by Godard out of Don Siegel. Brian Hansen's' Speed of Light, is a New Wave melodrama that's as good looking as Written on the Wind. Carrie Rickey

🎬 MovieFinder's Take

Jonathan Demme Presents Made In Texas is an acquired taste at 0.0/10. We recommend checking the trailer and synopsis before diving in.

Not every film is made for everyone. Read the synopsis, watch the trailer — you'll know right away if it's for you.

Released in 2015, this film holds up just as well today. Best for: genre fans and those open to something unconventional.
