🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs a tense drama around the contrast between the romance of a secret brotherhood and its corrosive reality. It relies on the classic structure of a tragic mistake, where the past inevitably catches up with the protagonist.

What lingers after viewing is the gloomy atmosphere of the Parisian underworld and a moral dilemma about redemption, where noble impulses clash with brutal consequences. — MovieFinder Editorial
