A Home Too Far

A band of Chinese soldiers, severed from their main forces during the Japanese occupation, fights for survival in the Burmese jungles. Their odyssey is a relentless cycle of hungry marches, sudden ambushes, and fractures within the group. Captain Li, their leader, grapples with duty to his men and the gnawing despair of their plight. In this 'alien land', the line between heroism and savagery blurs, where the value of a life is counted in bullets and handfuls of rice. The film lays bare the fragility of humanity at the breaking point.
