Chuquiago

Four inhabitants of La Paz—a city the Aymara call Chuquiago—navigate their fates against the harsh slopes of the Andes. Isidro, a young peasant from the provinces, arrives in the capital seeking work and collides with the brutal reality of urban poverty. Antonio, a middle-class student, is torn between political idealism and family expectations. Carlos, a successful businessman of indigenous descent, tries to buy his way into high society by renouncing his roots. Patricia, a young Aymara maid, endures humiliation in a wealthy household. Their stories converge like rays of light into a portrait of a city fractured by racial and social divides.
