🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs a poignant contrast between the cold duty of monarchy and the warm world of personal happiness, with romantic Heidelberg serving as a symbol of lost freedom. It relies on the touching performances of the actors and a nostalgic atmosphere of student life.

What lingers after viewing is a melancholic reflection on the price of privilege and the sacrifices demanded by duty. The images of carefree days against the backdrop of an approaching storm remain in memory. — MovieFinder Editorial
