100 Yen Love

Ichiko, a 32-year-old slacker, moves out after a fight with her sister and takes the night shift at a 100-yen shop. Her drab existence oscillates between shelves of cheap goods and lonely evenings in a tiny apartment. Everything shifts when, on her walk home, she notices a boxing gym and locks eyes with the silent fighter Kano training inside. That glance through the gym window becomes the first step in an unexpected metamorphosis, where the boxing ring transforms into a potent metaphor for fighting for one's own self-worth.
