Adam Green, a young photographer, uncovers a series of disturbing videotapes in his new home. The footage shows the previous tenant's gradual descent into madness, fueled by a paranoid fear of an unseen presence. As Adam watches, he begins to mirror her symptoms — insomnia, hallucinations, a creeping sense of being watched. The line between recorded horror and his reality blurs.
