Ko, a motorcycle enthusiast from the city, drifts through the Japanese countryside until he encounters Miyo, a carefree local girl whose spirit of freedom captivates him. He teaches her to ride, and her prodigious talent emerges with alarming speed. But as her confidence on the road grows, so does Ko's dread; he begins to see her daring not as liberation, but as a prelude to a crash.
