Walking Back

Smoke Thatcher, a jazz-age youth burning with ambition, desperately wants to impress his sweetheart Patsy. When his father refuses to lend the family car, Smoke 'borrows' a neighbor's automobile for a night of dancing. A reckless road clash with a rival leaves the vehicle a wreck. Desperate for repairs, Smoke and Patsy drive to a secluded garage, only to discover it's a front for a gang's hideout, a chop shop for stolen cars. Their innocent joyride spirals into a dangerous entanglement with the criminal underworld.
