🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The film constructs a classic comedy of errors, relying on the contrast between a naive dreamer and his cynical advisor. Through concise title cards and expressive pantomime, it explores themes of self-deception and the price of social climbing.
What lingers after the final reel is a charmingly ironic snapshot of pre-war manners, where every piece of well-intentioned advice leads to fresh absurdity. — MovieFinder Editorial
