Mad Sad Bad

Three directors — Ryoo Seungwan, Han Jiseung, and Kim Taeyong — craft a 3D omnibus that dissects the grotesque underbelly of contemporary pop culture. The film unfolds across three distinct stages: a claustrophobic city, an ominous forest, and a sterile future. In each episode, characters retreat into vivid fantasies to escape their suffocating realities. The 3D technique is deployed not as a gimmick, but as a visceral conduit for their psychological escapes, transforming suffering into surreal imagery. This collaborative experiment showcases both the artistic potential and industrial realities of Korean 3D filmmaking under the KAFA+ initiative.
