Petra and Martin Kaminski, a couple with intellectual disabilities, follow a doctor's advice and seek early intervention support from youth services for their daughter, Lona. Instead of aid, they encounter a system that uses the guise of welfare to strip them of custody. The assigned social worker becomes not an ally, but a threat to their fragile family unit. Desperate, the couple finds a lawyer willing to challenge the bureaucratic machinery.
