Bombay

Shekhar, a Hindu from a well-to-do family, and Shaila, a Muslim woman of humble origins, meet in a village where their love blossoms against centuries of prejudice. Fleeing their families' wrath, the lovers escape to Bombay, a bustling metropolis that promises freedom. Here, they build a family, children are born, and the daily routines temporarily relegate religious divides to the past. Yet, the rising communal tension in the city, like smoldering embers, is ready to erupt into flames at any moment, threatening to consume their fragile happiness.
