🎬 MovieFinder's Take

Director Lim Sang-soo constructs a narrative on the contrast between personal escape from the system and the inevitable collective clash with it. He works with grotesque comedic situations to explore the fragility of principles in the face of family circumstances and the power of protest born from a simple desire to protect one's home.

What lingers after the viewing is a poignant blend of sharp social satire and unexpected warmth, where absurd plot twists only heighten the emotional payoff. The film proves that rebellion can be both ridiculous and deeply human. — MovieFinder Editorial
