🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The film constructs a simple vignette, relying on the contrast between the suitor's nervous pacing and the woman's calm efficiency. It explores social nuance through pure pantomime, using props like flowers and food to hint at unspoken class dynamics.
What lingers after viewing is the subtle humor of the uneaten feast and the quiet tension of a shared meal that isn't truly shared. A charming, pointed slice of silent-era life. — MovieFinder Editorial
