The Basilisks

Three young friends—Francesco, Antonio, and Luciano—drift through their days in a sun-baked southern Italian town where time has ground to a halt. They wander dusty streets, lounge in cafes, spin grand fantasies of escape to the big city, and engage in endless circular conversations about a future that feels perpetually out of reach. Their existence is a tapestry of minor intrigues, idle daydreams, and paralyzing boredom, punctuated by rare flashes of youthful defiance.
