Mur Murs

Agnès Varda guides her camera through Los Angeles, from Venice Beach to Watts, elevating the city's walls to protagonists. Monumental murals and fleeting graffiti become portals into the lives of dozens of Angelenos. With an anthropologist's curiosity, she captures how roller disco and gang violence, evangelical preachers and Hare Krishnas, muralists and ordinary pedestrians coexist on the same urban canvas.
