A middle-aged man, isolated from the outside world, dedicates his days to listening to and cataloging countless audio recordings. His apartment has become an archive of silence and noise, where every sound is meticulously studied and filed away. The ritual of listening gradually becomes his sole connection to reality, blurring the line between recorded past and quiet present. His existence is a monotonous search for meaning in the voices and random noises of others, until one particular tape disrupts the entire carefully maintained order.
