🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs a tense historical narrative, relying on the contrast between the conqueror's pomp and the covert, perilous journey of a folk hero. It explores themes of betrayal and sacrifice through expressive, economical visuals.

What lingers after viewing is the weight of history in every frame, a foundational national epic told with near-documentary gravity. — MovieFinder Editorial
