An unscheduled late night train arrives at Tokyo station on 15 August, the anniversary of Japan’s surrender in World War II. 🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs a poignant ghost story that relies on silence and haunting imagery to explore the lingering weight of national trauma. It avoids grand speeches, instead letting the contrast between eras speak volumes about memory and peace.

What lingers after viewing is a profound, melancholic stillness—a sense of history observing its own consequences. The film asks how a nation carries its ghosts forward. — MovieFinder Editorial
