🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs an elegant drama from the intertwining of concealed passions and social conventions, relying on the apartment building as a microcosm of Parisian life. The direction explores the tension in glances and chance encounters, turning a shared staircase into a stage for intimate tragedy.

What lingers after viewing is the quiet ache of unspoken love and the delicate architecture of a society built on secrets. The resolution arrives not with melodrama, but with poignant resignation. — MovieFinder Editorial
