Meanwhile, in the French countryside, an elderly farmer mourns the loss of his young son. His three surviving children rally to shepherd him through the funeral rites, only for the ceremony to halt when the old man falls ill. These two narratives unfold in parallel—separate worlds of exile and rooted grief—before the director subtly threads connections, exploring loss, memory, and the quiet spaces where sorrow resides.
