🎬 MovieFinder's Take

Griffith constructs the film on the contrast between vast historical tragedy and the fragility of private life. He relies on documentary-like precision in depicting post-war devastation to explore how human dignity and love persist at its core.

What lingers after viewing is not bitterness, but a quiet, hard-won faith in the film's very title. The focus remains on the resilience of the human spirit against an overwhelming backdrop. — MovieFinder Editorial
