Sofia, November 7, 1952. A replica of the cruiser Aurora parades along the yellow cobbles – a revolutionary symbol reduced to spectacle. Her lover is Axinia, an official sculptor of the regime who creates ideological monuments while living in fear.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film meticulously dissects the fragility of human bonds against the backdrop of a totalitarian spectacle, where even revolutionary icons become mere props. It finds genuine, perilous emotion in the cracks of a manufactured reality.

What lingers after viewing is a profound sense of claustrophobic intimacy and the high cost of love in an era of ideological conformity. A haunting, visually arresting study of survival and desire. — MovieFinder Editorial
