Vladimir, an architect from Saint Petersburg, returns for the first time in twenty years to the apartment on Dekabristov Street that his family left in 2006. The camera follows him through empty rooms where dust settles on the parquet and ghostly outlines of paintings linger on the walls. He discovers his father's old engineering journal, filled with notes from the 1970s about designing this very building. The 2026 documentary explores not just the history of a structure, but the memory embedded in its concrete and plumbing. Director Anna Sorokina employs long, static shots, letting the space speak for itself—cracks in the plaster become maps of elapsed time, the creak of a doorframe echoes a departed era. The film weaves together archival footage of the neighborhood's construction, interviews with former residents, and contemporary observations of slow infrastructural decay.
