Akira wakes up in a hospital with amnesia and a strange plant growing from his chest. Doctors call it "vischio" — a parasitic vine that feeds on human emotions. As he tries to remember his past life, the plant begins to bloom, releasing pollen that causes people around him to develop an unhealthy obsession. His ex-girlfriend Saori, nurse Yumi, and even the head of the clinic fall under the flower's hypnotic influence. Akira must find a way to rid himself of the parasite before he's consumed by his own popularity. This 2025 horror-romance-comedy hybrid balances body horror with the absurdity of sudden fame.

Director Takashi Yamazaki creates tension through the contrast between clinical hospital whites and the organic, almost erotic beauty of the parasitic plant. The camera lingers on details — dew on petals, the stem's pulse beneath skin — creating intimacy through violation.
Those who appreciate genre-blending will find unexpected humor growing from horrific premises. What lingers is the uncomfortable realization about the parasitic nature of desire itself. — MovieFinder Editorial
