Out of Limbo

António returns to his hometown after a decade away. His father, the owner of the local bar, has suddenly disappeared, leaving only a cryptic note and unpaid bills. Together with his sister Maria, who never left this place, António tries to unravel family secrets the town has carefully guarded all these years. The 2026 comedy-drama balances between the absurdity of daily life and deep questions of belonging. Eccentric neighbors with their peculiar habits, local legends about a ghost in the abandoned factory, and long-held grudges resurface. The film explores what it means to return to a place that is both home and foreign land, where the past is never fully past.
