Il barocco leccese

1968 · 6 min Documentary

An experimental documentary short about Saint Cross's basilica of Lecce, Apulia. In 1968, Carmelo Bene made a deal with Nexus Film to shoot three documentaries. This is the only one that was actually made. He used the deal money to shoot his first feature Nostra Signora dei Turchi. It is still unsure if Bene actually shot the movie or if he just put his name on it to get the money.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take

Il barocco leccese is an acquired taste at 0.0/10. We recommend checking the trailer and synopsis before diving in.

Not every film is made for everyone. Read the synopsis, watch the trailer — you'll know right away if it's for you.

A classic from 1968. They don't make them like this anymore — which is exactly why you should watch it. Best for: genre fans and those open to something unconventional.
