🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs a classic revenge tale against the backdrop of Japan's tumultuous Warring States period, relying on swift, brutal action sequences with chain-sickles and swords to mirror the protagonist's inner turmoil. It explores the cost of obsession as the personal quest for vengeance collides with the era's greater political machinations.

What lingers after the final clash is not just the physicality of the fights, but the shadow of a changing world on a singular, driven soul. — MovieFinder Editorial
