Everest
Alexey Petrov, a seasoned mountaineer, receives a letter from his daughter whom he hasn't seen in ten years. She asks to meet at Everest Base Camp, where she's arrived with a tourist group. Without replying, Alexey silently packs his gear and buys a ticket to Nepal. Simultaneously, we follow young Sarah, trying to prove to her father that she's grown up and can make her own decisions. Their paths cross at five thousand meters, where past and present collide in the thin air. The 2026 drama explores not only the extreme conditions of the climb but also the fragile human relationships that intensify at the edge of survival. The director uses real Himalayan locations to create a complete immersion into the high-altitude world where every step could be the last.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The director constructs the narrative through contrasting close-ups of faces in oxygen masks and vast Himalayan panoramas shot by drones from bird's-eye height.
What lingers is the sensation of thin mountain air and unresolved questions between loved ones. A quiet gem for those who appreciate slow character revelation within extreme settings. — MovieFinder Editorial
