“Are you sure this is the best hiding spot?” Li whispers, crouching behind a cardboard tree in the park. His partner Zhang, wielding a pair of kitchen knives he calls “the legendary blades,” is utterly confident. They are the city’s most inept freelance fixers, usually hired for jobs like “retrieve a cat” or “scare a noisy neighbor.” But when they accidentally become pawns in a war between two actual crime syndicates, improvisation becomes their only skill. Their real weapons aren’t the knives, but a arsenal of absurd excuses, ridiculous disguises, and a complete lack of any coherent plan. Each “operation” spirals into a series of comic failures that, through sheer irony, further entangle the already confused real gangsters. In the fog of the city and their own incompetence, the duo inadvertently becomes the most unpredictable wild card in the underworld.
