🎬 MovieFinder's Take
Director Peter Cattaneo constructs a delicate balance between childhood imagination and harsh adult reality, exploring how belief can become a community's lifeline. The film relies on the sincere performances of its young cast and the metaphor of the fragile opal to speak about the power of hope.
Those who tire of cynical narratives will find a gentle, profound drama where the magic of a child's perspective confronts adult hardships and ultimately heals them. What lingers after the credits is a warm sense of wonder born from pure faith. — MovieFinder Editorial
