Lucy, a 12-year-old archaeologist's daughter, accidentally activates an ancient artifact in a museum. Alongside Chrono, a talking guardian robot, she's thrown onto the 7th-century Silk Road. Their mission: retrieve time crystals scattered across epochs before a temporal anomaly consumes the present. From the Taklamakan Desert to Samarkand's palaces, they encounter merchant caravans, Abbasid scholars, and enigmatic Time Wardens. Each leap between eras reveals not only historical secrets but teaches Lucy about responsibility for the past that shapes tomorrow.
