Vladimir, a former engineer from Yekaterinburg, sells his apartment and moves to a remote monastery in northern Russia. His day begins at four in the morning with the ringing of bells and ends with long hours of silence in his cell. The 2026 documentary observes a year of his life without asking questions or seeking drama. The camera captures the routine of monastic life: chopping firewood, transcribing ancient texts, shared meals in the refectory.
