Le Temps d'une Tartine

Pierre, a forty-year-old Parisian architect, realizes his morning toast-and-jam ritual takes exactly as long as his marriage lasted before divorce. This absurd observation makes him reevaluate his entire existence. In the 2025 comedy, director Antoine Lefebvre transforms a mundane situation into a philosophical exploration of time and habits. The protagonist starts measuring his life in toasts: meeting his ex-wife equals two toasts, a job interview — one and a half, a first kiss with a new acquaintance — three and a half. Gradually, his obsessive hobby leads to unexpected discoveries and comical situations.
